Family History – Everyone Is Doing It!
Sometimes we may think that family history is only for those old folks that like to hang out in the family history libraries poking through microfilm and dusty books. However, when it comes down to it family history everyone does it! Let me explain with the following 10 ways you might be doing family history and don’t even know it.

If you like to look at family photos (new or old) then
you “do” family history.

If you write emails to your family and save them, then
you “do” family history.
3.
If you have a photo album stored in your house, then
you “do” family history.
4.
If you visit the grave of your relative and put flowers
on your family graves then you “do” family history.
5.
If you have an item in your house that was handed down
from parents or grandparents then you “do” family history.

If you call and talk to you parent or grandparent and
listen to their stories then you “do” family history.

If you have your birth certificate, marriage
certificate, or other important documents saved in a file, then you “do” family
history.

If you have a favorite toy or an outfit from your
childhood, then you “do” family history.

If you have a book on your family from a relative and
you haven’t thrown it away, then you “do” family history.

you’ve ever told someone a story about your childhood, then you “do” family
history.
Family history is about preserving memories of our own lives and those of our family members. This can be done in thousands of ways. Just because you don’t spend your Friday nights at the family history library poking through the microfilm doesn’t mean you don’t “do” family history!
